I have to have something in my car or in my purse. If I have to go get it from my house, then he will say no need.

If he's doing it with absolutely no ulterior motive, then the best payment you can make is friendship. And maybe a coupon for 1 free psychiatric evaluation cause I'd never work on your bike without an ulterior motive.

So back to "friendship", do what I do with my friends: if I'm going somewhere, I call them an invite them along. Sometimes at lunch / dinner, I slip the waitress my credit card before we get to the seats. Sometimes we hit Best Buy together and the last time I used $25 out of $100 rewards I had and put the rest on his $200 worth of purchases.

The people that are the real friends, who do stuff just cause they like you as a friend, you gotta catch off guard. It's really bad when the whole group gets together. Imagine the waitress coming back to a table of 20 and giving back 19 credit cards slipped to her from arrival to cash out

HELL NO

Never offer a man a warm beer. Room temperature is the "hottest" it should be and only if that's the way it's supposed to be served. And if he just got done working on something mechanical for you, cold in a frosted mug!

Condoms?

Sorry, first post I read.

I don't care for beer but he might, so that would be a good idea. Offer to cook for him if you can. Besides a back rub, that would be a nice way to say thanks.

Condoms?
I don't think condoms left in the car is any good.

I offer to buy him lunch, he declined last time

Bring food and drinks while working. Some cookies or munchies, and some beers. Be a friend is about all nice people care about. Invite him to an event you're going to if you think he'd like it. That sort of stuff.

Well, I meant purse.. and making dinner is quite different from buying lunch.

It's more personal.

Sounds way too personal. I mean he would have to enter into my place behind closed door...

I still have one more task I have to do before all this can happen. I have to go to my shop and tell them to give me my parts cuz. That would be uncomfortable.

Ahh, well I assumed he had set foot in your condo before.

Beer will do then.
