Default Sea foam help?

So i have my carbs off cause im getting ready to sync them but wanted to give them a good cleaning first. On my F2 you can see the valves when the carbs are off and man are they dirty. Could i pour sea foam into the valve area and let it soak or no? If not what can i do to clean them fairly easy without harming the bike?

Thank you

Look for Gunk carb cleaner if you are looking for something to soak them in. You can watch the crap disolve in it... then blow them out with compressed air. This method has worked well for me.

I have the gunk carb cleaner and i love it. But can i put this directly onto the valves is what im asking? And will blowing compressed air into the valve area hurt anything?

Sea foam "says" you can put it in the crankcase (I wouldn't but that's a different story).

I wouldn't hesitate to clean the valves with it, nor would I hesitate to hit it with compressed air. Don't forget, those valves are subjected to several thousands explosions per minute - a little compressed air isn't going to hurt anything.

That is true. They do take an a$$ beating so air shouldnt hurt. Key word shouldnt. lol ill let you know though. haha I did put some n the crankcase and drove it around for a bit. It was a little bit smoother so ill take that as it did work.

Thank you

I guess it goes without saying but - make sure you don't get a bunch of JUNK down in the cylinders though
