How Do I Use Sea Foam in my F4i
I was reading about people using Sea Foam to clean out their engines so i did some research. Well the website says to add sea foam to the main vacuum line, the oil, the gas tank of a fuel injected car. Would this be the same for my F4i?
To any one who has used sea foam, what procedure did you use?
Thanks in advance.

i used sea foams deep creep to try and clean out the gas tank on my old gixxer and it worked like $#!t. what ever you are trying to do, just spend the extra cash and get it done right. you wont get a clean engine from an 8 dollar bottle of "cleaner." If its worth doing, its worth doing it right.

I've only seen seafoam used as a last resort before having to take the bike apart, and as a fuel stabilizer for storage. In the first case, I've never seen it actually revive a bike.
But as for "how," you just put it in the gas tank, thats all.
Be aware, some people end up worse off than the started. The classic example is: Your bike is running sortof iffy, so you want to throw some seafoam in it. Little do you know one of your cylinders has a bunk seal, but the seal is covered in carbon deposits which keep your compression in line. You throw in the seafoam, which clears away the carbon, and now you're left with just the crap seal, and now low compression, so your bike runs like ****. Only throw seafoam in if you're ready to deal with the problems it may uncover.

I put seafoam in my gas tank of my 87 CBR 600 and I like it. I know people who use it in everything with an engine that takes gas. Tractors, mowers, trucks, unleaded or diesel and they love it. I put about an ounce in every time I fill my bike up. I pour it in slowly and count to three (like a barternder measures a shot of booze). It helps my bike start faster and run better. I heard you don't ever have to clean out your carbs if you use it. Will I run into a problem down the road? Maybe but I'll risk it for now.

I think the vacuum line is easier for fuel injected cars, probably with an F4 just pour small amounts down the carbs.
If you do put it in the oil and crankcase, don't do it for long. It's going to thin the oil and you can imagine how well thin oil works. I only had mine for a few minutes and never revved it very high on a car, which at least doesn't share oil with the clutch and tranny.
