Screwed!!
Can you reason with your folks? They changed the rules, and you are going to live by them. You are a victim of circumstance. Talk to them and explain the same things you have told us. If they are reasonable, they should help you through your first six months in America. If you were my boy, I would help you if I was the one that made it harder to play by the rules. In fact, give me your phone number...I want to talk to your folks, dammit! Good luck, and keep us posted.
I love it when someone ask about "get a job or go to college" and everybody says go to college. Well...............Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. But hey, here's a mental work out. YOU CAN DO BOTH AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!. Holy crap I need to sit down after that one.
I do want to go to college but currently I will be graduating in January then my mom wants me to go straight into college and I would like to take it easy and either way I need a job. Im not exactly desperate for money right now as I know my parents/grandparents have put lots of money in saving for my education however I have about 1 grand to last me till i can get a job which is estimated at 6 months... Its easily do-able considering I'm living at my parents place but really theres not gonna be any big purchases like a bike. But tommorow Im gonna talk to my parents and see if we can figure something out... maybe helping my dad out with his job or something. Thanks for your replies guys... some have really opened my eyes.

Not having a bike isn't the end of the world. I've been saving for 2 years and have enough money to buy a new bike but my parents won't let me so I'm stuck riding my ****ty 250. A little advice about college though. This spring and summer, take classes at communnity college (as many as you can). Then transfer to a university in fall 08. Classes are alot easier at communnity college and they are also alot cheaper. Only take classes that you know you won't need for your major. Like I'm an engineering major so I took history and world religons at communnity college last semester. I didn't learn crap but I got an A in both classes and didn't really have to do that much work. I would never take core classes for my major (math, science, etc) at a communnity college because I will need to know the material later on.
