Screwed!!
Well I'm 17 right now and my parents decided they wanted to move to the states from canada. I had a hard time dealing with leaving friends and what not. And my dad told me I could get a job when I moved down so I figured I would spend this summer hanging out with friends before I couldnt anymore. Well now it turns out that I cant get a job until all my paper work comes through which takes a minimum of like 6 months [:@]. Before this all happened my dad said he would give me a loan to pay for a bike if I had a job and would pay for half of it up front with all the gear. But now I cant get a job for at least 6 months and I only have a grand in my bank account. And that needs to last me this time I dont have a job...
And to make it even worse, I will be having an early graduation because of all the extra credits I already have so in january I'll be done high school but then my parents say I either have to go to college right away or I have to get a job... and i want to get a job but I cant. I really dont know what to do.... If anybody has any suggestions they would be greatly appriciated

Well i lived in canada for my whole life... and my dad got a visa to get a job here but Im not considered a resident or something so Im not allowed until I get an I-94 or something. I'm pretty sure its an i something
I see. Pardon my ingnornce, but I believe you can ride year round there, correct? If so I can see how this is frustrating. Although this isn't going to make you feel any better, six months will fly by,at whichpoint you can get a part time job, and you will make new friends in no time. In my opinionfriends and an education are more important than a motorcycle. I know it's tough leaving everything behind. All I can say is good luck to you, and enjoy the adventure.
Immigrating to this country, and doing it legally, is possibly the most frustrating, time consuming and
expensive process anyone could imagine. You can't fight the system, and 6 months is a drop in the bucket
compared to what others, like me, are dealing with.
