I bought the whole enchilada, so we have have the drum pads, and I am a good drummer after playing the same songs over and over again(on medium and a few songs on hard). They went online later, and there was this guy playing drums on expert (don't know if he wasusing the pads or controller), but hewas absolutely stupid good. My mind couldn't conceive the colors that fast,let alonehit a pad at the same time.

 

My brother gave me GHIII for christmas, and I have always been one of those, stay away from DDR envoked games, but when I started playing GH, man, that game is a blast. I have been wanting to pick up RB b/c of the new songs they are putting out and since we typically only play GH when we BBQ and everyone fights over it. With RB we could all play together. I'm just not ready to drop the $170 for a video game.

GTA IV will be out next month too, now that game is gonna kick some serious ***.

 

I got this too....its great fun.......i like rockin the drums, but the bass is pretty cool too...Me and my girl play, and i am tryin to get my roomate into it, but he's like Okie....too cool to play silly games like this..hahah j/k I dont know, i play real instruments too, but not drums, so that was the main appeal for me...

and just in case you didnt know...you can use the GH3 guitar with RB, and they are also selling individual instruments with RB so you dont have to buy the whole kit anymore either...i think the drums are the most expensive and they are like 80 w/ the game...

Those games are addictive as hell. I'm getting my oldest boy one of the Guitar Heros for his birthday and I don't think I can wait until June! You sound like a cool dad Vood! I hope I'm still that cool when I'm your age.......oh, that's right.....I'm 2 years older than you. Dammit!

 

For the record... the rockband guitars suck...

 

If anybody wants to play my gamer tag is qb420. I play the guitar on expert, probably can do bass too. Still on medium/hard on the drums and haven't tried to sing yet. I just bought 5000 points and will be downloading some new songs tonight, Limelight, Working Man, Siva, All the small things, all the Metallica songs. Sweetness!

 

i just dont have the dough right now to be dropping that much for a game...plus like rrasco said, gtaIV is coming out soon, not to mention rainbow 6 vegas 2...eventually i would like to get around to buying it, i know how fun guitar hero II was when a bunch of people are over, even if we were all fighting over who went next

 

Well I went to Walmart to get another regular controller, they had a whole pallet of Rock Band games. I had just gotten my tax returns and had company over from out of town. I bit the bullet, and it's worth it. We had so much fun. But just yesterday my guitar won't strum down. I researched this on the web and found that a LOT of people were having the same issues. So if anyone has strum issues it's pretty easy to get it replaced. Just go to the EA website and submit aclaim, you won't even have to talk to anyone. They will send you a new guitar for free.

 

The Fender Strat is wasy cooler than the Gibson Les Paul (just like in real life)...

 

Hell yes!!! 4 months since owning this game, and still playing it strong... two of my fav bands for download, these should be fun.
