I played it at my brother in laws the other day...it looks really stupid, but it is actually fun.

 

A couple of my friends have it. I enjoy playing, and GH and RB are probably a couple of the only games I'd play by myself. I've never had video games for that reason; playing them by myself is boring.

RB is a great party game too. Get a dozen people in a house with some booze, and they'll have a blast. At first people come with the "that's gay" attitude, but once they try it themselves and get liquored up, they can't get enough. I actually get calls some weekends with dudes requesting a party at my house so they can play the game.

 

I gave up video games when I decided to become an adult...plus I had to graduate college and start my career, and I'm already way side tracked with sites such as this one to even bother trying to play video games again...although I have played Guitar Hero and I loved it, I can see how it becomes way addicting and it took like three days to get the thought of owning a Wii out of my head just so I could get GH.

My kids got GHIII for the PS3 for xmas, then when Rockband came out, they just gotta have it! It is a blast! I play it with it them all the time. We just bought my 16 yo daughter an acoustic (Emperador, Japan) and a Fender Strat with Fender amp and Fender headphones... and my son also plays the percussion in school, so needless to say he's bad-*** for a twelve year old.
