Riding Habits
If I am planning getting gas, I keep credit card in the pocket. Everything else is in backpack. I do play with my brake lever not to blink it,
not at the moment. I had to special order my jacket since I'm tall & skinny. They either fit right in the chest and too short on the arms or arms fit right and chest is huge on me. So had to special order a tall version. Sucks cause it limits the companies I can order from and I usually have a limited color selection.
Anyways my special order was placed a month ago with a three business day wait. Well they didn't factor in customs seizing/holding the cargo up. So I have been without a jacket going on a solid month of riding. Through the cold and the rain. I really could use my jacket

Do you folks who always check your pockets not wear jackets?
I usually keep my wallet in my backpack, but my phone, and maybe some credit cards if I have to get gas, I keep in my jacket pockets.
+1 on blinking the tail light (I do it when I'm slowing down too), bopping at the street lights, and resetting the trip meter (although I usually do it to check MPG, and I do it in my car too.)

On the bike I'll have my keys in the left jacket pocket, wallet in the right jacket pocket, ear plugs in the right chest pocket, the left chest pocket is used for the phone when off the bike and on the bike my phone in the iPhone mount attached to the windscreen. I don't often wear my normal (non riding) jacket because I use the bike every day but still check the pockets before I leave the house.

So in short, I always wear a jacket.
are you left handed? because thats the exact opposite of how i keep my stuff.
My ignition and buddy seat storage compartment is always opened with the right hand.. I'm not quite sure why I keep my keys in the left pocket but I think it originated due to my phone always being on the right and I didn't want to scratch it.
I don't wear one now but I wear a watch on my right hand, instead of on the left.. I use the computer mouse with the left hand at work but that's mostly because of slight carpel tunnel in the right (though I also get it in the left hand.. Waiting for my special mouse at the moment).
Yes, I get asked if I'm a lefty quite often.

PS: It used to confuse the **** out of people when I still played varsity basketball.
