No music for me either while riding. I like to be able to hear emergency vehicles before I see them.

I also reset my trip meters every time I fill up. I've had to push the bike twice for over an hour because I forgot to plug in the reserve sensor after working on the bike... It's really ****ty to push a bike for that long! I'm tall and the bars are low so it really burns the left shoulder (when pushing from the left side).

Nowadays I can tell when my tank is about to hit reserve by the way the bike feels, but mostly sounds. It has a different sound to it. I think it's because the empty tank resonates. When I notice the difference in sound I check my trip meter and then fill up a little bit after hitting the reserve.

I also listen to music but not always. Mostly on longer rides/roads. I don't like music when I'm riding in town/the city because there are too many cars and I need to concentrate. I have speakers in my helmet and wear earplugs. I have absolutely no problem in hearing emergency vehicles etc. with this setup.

Ever since I started riding street I have been looking side to side constantly to check for people pulling out of driveways, deer, etc.

I went from mx, where my full attention was focused on my line and looking out for things on the track that could mess me up, to street, where I didn't have to worry about braking bumps, whoops, ruts in the face of a jump, etc so I took that focus and put it to the sides. I even look to my sides when I walk now, people must think I have tourettes

I have an issue where I'll impulsively rev my engine at every hot woman I see. I really don't know if I'll ever solve this problem.

I think many of us have that.

I use music only on rare occasions. I do find that the style of music i listen to makes me drive really fast and crazy, so i tend to not use it very often. lol

as for the emergency vehicles; i don't know how loud you guys are listening to it, but i was able to hear a fire truck behind me in plenty of time to get out of the way.

my ocd is constantly checking the vents on my helmet to make sure they're open. lol and i also fidget around alot on the seat, drag my feet from time to time to stretch. etc. lol
