A drunk girl with friends ran over (killed) a cruiser guy, then backed up and went down a street running over a pedistrion and then hitting a fence. They fled but were caught. This was at 7 PM yesterday.

But the drunk girl was doing what she wanted to in life. So that makes it okay. Yeah, what ever if you believe that's how I feel you have lost your mind. On the surface sounds just like another one of those. What about me generation people . Who needs to be charged with homicide

ok, so every one has good points, ELMER, i don't think that every one means that they wanrt to die on a bike, i think ( and i mean ) i except that i could die on one. its a risk we all take.

"Someone mentioned taking the safest road and doing what you want to do absolutely nothing wrong with either one. But I think you must choose a balance of the two. There are consequences beyond losing your own life. There are others that you can injure or kill plowing a 400 pound plus bike at 100 mph++ into a automobile is like firing 500 rounds of armor piercing ammunition at a standard vehicle depending on where you hit it depends on what type of damages incurred most likely your asses dead but what about those you may kill or injure or **** the automobile. What if you forced down your best friend, because of your stupidity and the consequences of that. Going out in a Blaze of Glory Is the Same As Cannon Fodder and **** THAT so you should try to find a happy medium. And I'm going to put this out there in plain English. Anyone who runs 140 mph on average on the open highway where the posted speed limit is half that is a ****ING Idiot take it to the track or you could end up in the same predicament as this guy.

HARDCORP ,, well put, +10000000000000000000000000 to that, me starting this thread was not to advicate the high spead runs or stunt riding at 100+ on the high way, just the ability to ride a motorcycle period! i ride couse i love the freedom,

I ride because I enjoy it.
I ride because I enjoy the freedom I feel from being exposed to the elements, and the vulnerability to the danger that is intrinsic to riding.
I do not ride because it is fashionable to do so. I ride my machine, not wear it.
My machine is not a symbol of status. It exists simply for me, and me alone.
My machine is not a toy. It is an extension of my being, and I will treat it accordingly, with the same respect as I have for myself.
I strive to understand the inner-workings of my machine, from the most basic to the most complex. I will learn everything I can about my machine, so that I am reliant upon no one but myself for it's health and well-being.
I strive to constantly better my skill of control over my machine. I will learn its limits, and use my skill to become one with my machine so that we may keep each other alive. I am the master, it is the servant. Working together in harmony, we will become an invincible team.
I do not fear death. I will, however, do all possible to avoid death prematurely. Fear is the enemy, not death. I will not let fear be my master. I will master it.
My machines will outlive me. Therefore, they are my legacy. I will care for them for future bikers to cherish as I have cherished them, whoever they may be.
I do not ride to gain attention, respect, or fear from those that do NOT ride, nor do I wish to intimidate or annoy them. For those that do not know me, all I wish from them is to ignore me. For those that desire to know me, I wil

Nice post their yourself was just stating how I felt and would just like to, reiterate and clarify that if you have someone in your life whom you care about, that is uncomfortable with your choices. You should make an effort to explain your perspective on the subject and out of respect if they cannot agree to disagree you have a serious problem on your hands. If it is someone of no consequence in your life, as there has been reference made to by others here. Just put as much distance between yourself and them as possible. No need to add to the drama of life.
BTW.
You forgot the link to this it is a interesting fact, what the cost of an overall accident is a monetary figures

thats not what i was talking about...taking **** to extremes is just plain retarded. i was basically gettin at the fact that when your *** is old and tired, and your lookin back at your life, are you going to be sorry that you gave up something that you loved because some random chick that came along asked you to? now, if driving drunk is your thing, congrats then that person is a retard. but if you love to ride, or go skydiving, or hell, even stunt bikes, and you give that **** up cause somebody tries to talk you out of it, you are going to regret it later on in life. just my .02

DZ56 I wasn't referencing your statement, but I can understand how you were confused . As a matter of fact, this is what I said in reference to your statement

"Someone mentioned taking the safest road and doing what you want to do" absolutely nothing wrong with either one. But I think you must choose a balance of the two.

and I do not disagree with your last statement unless you're calling me retarded. Then we have a personal problem, which I'll be happy to address with you in anyway you would like

Nice post Samill. I'll use the words in my Bike club magazine, if that's OK ?
Gunny, nobody's calling you any names, or bashing you (or so it seems to me)
Nobody wants to die - we all want to live to ride our bikes another day.
You may consider this :

WHAT IT IS
Not where you go or what you ride That fills the emptiness inside It’s who you are and whom you meet And later greet across the street The friends you find who live for bikes No matter - choppers hogs or trikes Or speedsters too are in the frame The motorcycle is our game The rallies are the place to find The things that dominate your mind And hours you spend with Autosol To sparkle at the local jol * *bike rally The tyres are dear, the spares are too You often don’t know what to do About trick parts you’ve seen at shows But where to find them – no one knows You surf the net and distant spots And ask your mates to search the shops But then at last you find your loot And bolt them joyful on your scoot The days are spent to earn your pay But really all you do all day Is dream of bikes and read the specs When bright new models hit the decks When kilowatts and corner speeds Will give you what you really need And talk with mates and argue too About which bike is best to you…. How old you are it counts for nil For biking’s always such a thrill And young and old enjoy just this And biking makes it what it is…
