if im going for some twisty carving ill put on the armored pants and possibly riding boots. if im going to work its pants, jacket, gloves, lid, and work boots.
+1 to fox, no one wearing gear on a bike looks like an idiot. the only idiots are the guys not wearing any gear at all.

I personally get up an hour earlier than I would have to. So I can gear up and ride properly protected, including the required base approved reflective vest. If it wasn't for the fact of being in NCO. I would probably have to carry a change of clothing with me but I don't have to, I have a little more space than a wall locker lol . So I change when I arrive on post a would not ride unprotected and could care less of what others think of me when they see me. I have been on the pavement twice in my life one time because of youthful pride and lack of respect of two wheels. The other time was a victim of circumstance, with no escape route would not ride without full protection would not ride without a full face helmet have seen what my helmet looks like after coming off the pavement was smart enough the second time on the pavement to be wearing adequate protection
