This isn't really an injury - just a cautionary picture, I'm not proud, but I want to show this so people know to wear their gear. this was when I was on my permit, just bought this bike, things were going great, It actually happened on my birthday, woke up from a great night of drinking, went to my buddies to pick up my phone I forgot there the night before, couple guys wanted to see what the bike had, and I showed them all right, didn't look where I was going and panic'd a little too much trying to slow down and lowsided, bike ended up in the grass, me on the street, I roughly remembering my left hand hit the gound and slide on it's ohhh so smooth surface, and watched my oakleys slide away from me... road rash on mainly my left foream, elbow and palm, left knee and such... I could not hold my left hand down becuase the blood rushing to it would hurt, so for a week I was holding it up watching TV...

Things change on a bike faster than most people think - always ride within your limits and only gently push them over time. I had to look at my bike - all scratched and beaten everytime I got on it, It made riding a little less fun. Nothing looks better then a clean - unscratched bike
