Possible career change in a couple years.

RE: Possible career change in a couple years.
It has some downsides to it, no doubt, and takes a special breed of people to do it, but if you're getting into it for the right reasons, then go for it. There's nothing quite like the feeling that you made something with your life, you went out and helped someone, locked a douche up for beating on his wife, showed up just in time to help that person who was just robbed, pulled someone over on a routine traffic stop and recovered masks/guns and possibly saved someone else from getting killed, took a drunk driver off the street who could have killed your best friends mother, show up and help someone who is locked out of their car....I could go on and on.
I suggest talking a whole lot to your Uncle though. Just don't do it for the wrong reasons, is all I ask.
Also, if you're not ready to take a bullet for someone you don't even know, don't even think about it. Many people would be willing to take a bullet for someone they knew and loved, and truly cared about....but who of you would give their life for someone you don't know?
