Here is the deal on this thread: Yes, we are not supposed to talk about politics or religion. However, we have had many succesful threads in regard to both. This thread will be watched closely, and we will not tolerate any bickering. If an Admin says to shut it down...it will be shut down. Admins have the ultimate say so. That being said, here is my opinion:

I will be voting for sure! Even with the electoral college involved, I don't feel I have a right to bitch if I don't vote (common sentiment). I like Ron Paul, but he has the least delegate points out of ANYBODYwith McCain at the top of the republicans. In regard to the democrats, it is close with Clinton at 1024 and Obama at 933. Keep in mind, an individual needs 2026 delegate votes to win a nomination. We'll see how it goes. I am registered as republican, but I just want something new. I will cross any party line as long as we can make some steps in the right direction. I am concerned that whoever becomes president will be so burdened with bullsh!t, that they will have a hard time doing what needs to be done. Are we ready for a woman or African American president? I think so. It doesn't seem to be an issue. My .02...

One thing that I think Voodoo made a valid point on, is if you do not vote, I dont think you have the right to bitch. Great point Voodoo!

Even if Ron Paul isn't on the ballot you can still write him in.

The problem I have with Ron Paul is that he's taking away republican voters... thus lowering the chances of McCain or Huckabee getting voted in.

Yes I can...and I will have absolutely wasted a vote for someone who is not even on the ballot. I could also vote for Mickey Mouse, Osama Bin Laden, Voodoochyl, or even Jon Bon Jovi. Symbolic votes, in my opinion, are never heard...youwill still end up with a guy like GW. I am not busting your chops by any means, Nauree. You make a great point. I just don't want to vote for someone who is gauranteed not to win. A write in candidate was never won the presidency. I want my vote to count...in some regard.

I agree with nauree and voodoo that has been my policy since i was able to vote. I dont vote because it literally does nothing and since i dont vote i dont complain or critize. I dont like bush but since i didnt vote and i dont complain. Say what you want dem/rep/ind all these people are the exact same anyway. and you can not truly be one party. I have a hard time believing anyone here has the exact same belief/opion on every topic as thier party.
