I am interested in getting into some small photo editing for pictures and I was wondering what software do you use?
Thanks in advance

I use PhotoShop CS3 but they are plenty of cheaper app out there. Gimp is a good one and its free, not sure if it has a windows version tho.

I guess that depends on your definition of photo editting. What are you trying to accomplish? You can use photoshop as stated, but there are also other photo-oriented editting programs as well, PS is also a lot about graphics and not just photos.

Also, what is your experience in photo editing/computer useage. Programs like photoshop are great, but the learning curve can be quite steep. I know at one point adobe had a program that did what photoshop does to images, in a much easier to use package....granted, its not as powerful as photoshop, but for the intended audience...it worked.

edit: just checked the site its 'Adobe Photoshop Elements'.

That's a good point, I have a substantial amount of experience (comparitively) and I still find myself daunted by the processes. I have APE here for my users, but I didnt really know what it was, never gave it the thought.

I use Photo Explosion Deluxe, but Photoshop seems to be the industry standard (Kewl knows his **** by the way...you should PM him). You can spend alot of money if you get the legal version of Photoshop. All the banners I do, I have done with P.E.D. You can get free software if you just want to edit the red eye out of your photos...what do you want to do?
