Paypal Fraud...
Or, if you click it anyway, you can just look in the address bar and check the address. If its fake, it may look like
www.127.216.234.654/paypallogin/userretarded.
If the actual site you want to go to is not the first thing listed, its a fluke.

^^ Since you resurrected the thread doog I just want to point out that most legit companies NEVER ask for updating account or any other info. via email .. they generally only do it via phone or standard mail and even then, they ask that you log on to do it yourself .. not through a link.

Forward that email to paypals phishing address, I do not know it off hand but will look for it. But yeah like others said you have to watch out for those phishing e-mails. Never click the login links in there. I believe the official paypal e-mails don't even have the login link inside.
If you guys do accidentally click a link in there and log in make sure to change your info ASAP. Since these e-mails just send the data you used to login to them. So you have a chance of changing it before they get it.

like others said, always go to their site directly, dont use the links in the emails. on a side not, i have had that email, but it was real. i had notifications all over my paypal account and they made me change login credentials and verify all my info. so to the naysayers, paypal WILL send you an email telling you that, just make sure you dont use links in the email, check it out directly for yourself.

Doog, I didn*t intend it to sound like I didn*t want the thread revived .. sorry if it came off that way. I just meant that since you revived it I had additional input as well.

p.s. rrasco, I don*t know paypal*s policy even though I use them so you may be right, which is why I wrote "Most". But I do know many sites I deal with (esp. banking sites) have it clearly written on their sites that they will never contact you via email regarding anything to do with personal info.
