Default Oh... Joy... Snow

Yup, Philly is getting real snow right now. Even if it's a couple inches, even if it melts in a day, riding is done till the first rain and I salt the driveway.

PennDOT is notorious for being late on salting the roads... then using a whole dump truck in a single block. So there'll be salt dust on the roads till a good rain washes it away. And from experience, the driveway turns into an ice rink that does not melt since it's between 2 4 story buildings so it gets little direct sunlight.

I feel your pain. I'm in northern Indiana where we got nailed with about 5" over night and expecting more I was planning on putting my new levers and chrome wheels on my bike but I have to ride the bike to my dads shop... yeah, needless to say it isn't going to happen today... wait two weeks I guess. I only have every other weekend off I really wanted the snow for Christmas then poof! be gone lol. Oh well...

Has snowed a total of around 12-15" over the past couple weeks here in Wisconsin. It was also -11º a couple days ago. So no sympathy.

None?!? Aw come on! I've got a brand new BMW s1000rr with 16 miles on her and I can't get the power unlocked till I hit 600 miles. That's gotta be worth some sympathy points!

I know I'm getting near insanity cause I caught myself thinking "hmm... I wonder just how good this ABS & traction control system is. BMW did mention snow in the manual..."

hahaha.... I was in Indianapolis yesterday and saw a guy bundled up on his Goldwing with a side car. Granted they didnt have near the snow "we" have but still. I guess if I had a trike I'd be the same way though.
