But I am; I'm still considering if I should be offended by that. But I probably won't be (because it just takes too much energy to get offended by stuff)

although the urban dictionary states "spud" to be "the arcetype of eccentricity, the embodyment of all that is strange but harmless" so whether you want to be offended or not tells a story of it's own

But now I feel pressured to jump on a high horse about dis respective comments about Kiwis (and also by association Irish, I seem to recall spud comments being made).
I recall a Clarkson comment some time ago, someone was trying to get him on some bandwagon to help save the last of the endangered Sumatran tigers.
"If we don't all take immediate action, our children will never get to see a Sumatran tiger in the wild"
"Quite frankly, if my daughters are backpacking through Sumatran jungle, I'd probably prefer it if they didn't meet a wild untamed tiger"
For every good reason to get offended, take action, and get involved; there is an equally good reason just to chill, have a beer and really think about if this cause is really where you want your life to lead you.
Personally, I find the "chill and have a beer" option a preferable one.
