Not happy with Cobb County PD right now..UPDATED WITH PICS 1/20
So I just move into my new apartment for the frist freakin night ... I start my new job Monday in ATL so I had to move up here. Well I am staying with a couple friends for a little while until I get my life figured out so blah blah blah I go to Wal-Mart...
On my way home from Wal-Mart, my best friend, my attorney/girlfriend, and I are driving along in my Accord... no ice on the road, no rain on the windshield, but the road is super curvey and extremely dark... well as I'm following the road it suddenly dips to the right and I run off the road... I swerve back on the road and I know it was bad enough to cause a flat... now I keep on driving for about a quarter mile so I can get into a parking lot ahead of me so I can see what happened and when I pull up to the light we get out and I HAVE TWO FLAT TIRES.
I feel like the reason I ran off the road was due to the lines on the side of the road... and I have heard that you should always file a police report when something happens to your vehicle due to DOT maintenance so you can bring suit against the city...well I call the 5-0. While I'm sitting here luckily my parents are in town so my dad shows up to pick us up. About the same time the police officer shows up and tells me that if I intend to file suit he is going to write me a ticket for failure to maintain lane (which apparently holds up to a $1000 fine)!
So I ask him how do you intend to write me a ticket for a misdemeanor you never saw and he says you just admitted to me you ran off the road... then looked at my dad and we were both just shaking our heads "no" as in that's not what happened or what I said...
Now I have to go to court to fight a ticket which was supposed to be me filing an incident report so I could just bring it up with the city later.
Oh and btw I have to replace 2 17" tires tomorrow because my first day of work is Monday and OF COURSE my freakin motorcycle was stolen last week so I have no other way to get to work.

Unless I'm dying, bleeding out of my eyes dying, or become involved in a situation that utterly requires it--I've discovered it's a bad investment to call the police...
Sorry man...I hope you work it out, get on top of it, and continue on...[>:]

just simply drove off the road huh? No offense but that doesnt happen while obeying all traffic laws. Headlights on? Driving too fast? Playing with the cell phone? Theres more to this story than you let on. Not to mention the story doesnt make any sense to begin with lol. Or am I just retarded? You make no mention of DOT maintenance until you decide you will blame it on them? Eh, whatever I guess. Hope everything works out for ya.

Sorry VP, that's one helluva an initiation here. I've never had any problems with Cobb PD and I live and work here. I think you got a "corporate man" ... the suit wouldn't even have anything to do with Cobb PD! [&:] Cherokee PD on the other hand is a whole different animal, don't even breathe wrong there (oh, the stories I could tell). If there's anything I can do to help let me know.

Also, he says he ran off the road twice in his explanation, then he says that he didn't explain he ran off the road to the cop. How else is he gonna get two flats unless he ran off the road?? At least there are some witnesses that can be used to fight the ticket.

we have this hwy up here in northern cali heading up to a local casino where its super twisty fun to ride on a bike but a car could easily go off the road even doing the speed limit.. not to mention when it is dark outside you almost cant see where the edge is. what i am saying is that it is very plausible to assume under the stated conditions from VP's post that one could run off the road if the road were to dip and the car pulled into the ditch
