Ninja ZX-14 for first bike?
So a friend of mine got offered a trade......his car for a 2007 ZX-14(only 600 miles) and 5k in cash. The car is a 240sx that has alot of money in it that he would never get back so a ZX-14 and 5k in his pocket is a smart decision.
He is a pretty responsible guy but this will be his very first bike and Ive seen them run at the track they are rediculous.
Will he be alright if hes careful? Or does he not stand a chance and need to put it up FS and buy something else?

No, no, and hell no.
At most, do the deal n sell/trade the bike for something else.
If he has no experience on a bike, he needs to get a 250 to learn n master the basics first. The he would be ok to get a 600 or sumtin. A rider really really need years n miles* under their belt b4 goin to a 1k+ esp a 14 or busa.

i agree with everyone else here...do the deal and then sell it or trade it in for a smaller bike. With 5,000 cash plus a damn near new bike, he is getting a good deal sounds like. Trading it in for a smaller bike, he will prolly still have $$ left over just from that.
