I learned on a 250, loved every second of it! The new ones look pretty cool, though, for a 250 congrats on gettin her to ride man, have fun !

Yea that bike is really cool,my wife can't decide on either the red or black one.It will also be her first bike.

i had an 02 250 as my first bike.....geez they really are fun. light, and handle well. plus for a rookie it helps to learn on that. nothing worse than not realizing the speed your going on a 600 and going into a corner too fast.

I just got back from a three hour ride on the 250 and let me tell you, that thing is SUPER AGILE compared to the '04 and it seems overall just put together much more solidly. She's going to let me break it in for her the first 1000 miles. I'll just be riding it to school and back (about 80miles a day). I'm actually having a blast on it, and I've already got three compliments on the color and looks!
