Agent the problem you have is your in a seasonal area. You look for a bike in spring and your gonna pay hefty for it, you need to find one in the fall or even winter, prices are very good then.

 

I'm planning to pick up one in the fall anyway since my dad won't let me ride it until next season. I just think its kind of wierd that there are people that will pay $1000+ over what the bike is actually worth because its in season.

 

Yep friend of mine went to dealer to tet drive a 1k rr. Really liked it and made an offer, they said no to 11k otd. I told her to walk away we can do better, turns out some schmuck went in the next day and paid the 12,800 + tax, title, license for it, thats just crazy.

 

The value of an object is what someone is willing to pay.

 

I thought it was too much too.....i can get a 2005 R6 from a friend of mine with 1200 miles on it (its been laid down a few too many times) for $3500. So i think I may try to get it and fix the plastics. Its just im a Honda girl lol I want a RR so who knows??

Chip away at homeboy for the Honda. Have you counter offered yet? See what he says about $4000 and negotiate up to what you feel comfy paying...maybe $4200 max (depending on how much you really want it)? 3900 is great mileage, but it is an '02. Keep us posted.

 

Im not going to go after that bike, I talked to a guy that knows him and he said that it doesnt run well. The guys hasn't taken care of it as far as maintaince.
So i am goin to pass, besides he wont take less than 5 for it....so oh well....i will let you know what i do get...thanks guys!!
