Default need some options

what could i get for a 2001 F4i with 14k miles with no fairings or exhaust? i bought the bike for 2500 and dropped it so the fairings are all smashed up and i sold the exhaust to a buddy thinking i would get a new one before the seasnon starts up again. im trying to figure out what would be the best way to go here. fix it by spending money on new fairings or sell it how it is?
what would be the best option? i would guess after buying new fairings i would only get another 700 out of it which would leave me at the same position as if i sell it how it is?

Best bet is probably just trying to break even on it....but buying new fairings is going to be a better presentation. How busted up was it overall? It's good low mileage for that bike, if you fix it up some you might really be able to flip it for a profit.

the guy i bought it from had all the fairings mat black and i sanded and repainted it all mat/gloss black and had it looking really nice, then i dropped it and the right fairing had no chance. i needs new mirrors, front fairing stay, the RPM needle just recently stopped working (forgot to mention that), for anyone that is serious into bikes is going to want to replace the chain/sproket, needs new exhaust like i said, i havent added all the parts up but im sure it will be more than i would expect. i figured i got a good deal for that bike for 2500 at 11k miles and i could sell it next season for a bump up until this happened.

Dang, thats pretty banged up. I'd say you would be lucky to get maybe low 2200, depending on where you are. I'm not sure replacing all the parts to make the bike more presentable would be worth it. You're prlly looking at maybe 600 more on the low end to replace all those parts you listed. And even then, you might get something in the low to mid 3K range.

Maybe considering parting it out?
