Find a local bike forum.

I'm lucky, there is a quite large group of riders in my area that like go for rides and also meet for coffee/pizza on a regular basis.

But when I look and see the helmet hanging from the helmet lock or under the cargo net that's too much. Gear is a choice, I get that. But buying a helmet to accessorize the tail of your bike? Too much calamari for my appetite

And like Rommy the ones I would like to talk to a bit, geared up and riding sane, are usually whipping the other direction.

where i live at it seems like every one has a brand new gsxr

But Jordan... I'd ride with you, too, if you were closer. I'm about 3hrs away, though.
You can post up in the regional section and maybe get some hits. Not too long ago, we had a pretty big group of members from Pittsburgh.

4) there's gotta be a dealership or two near you, maybe a cycle gear? check with those guys.

Why don't you trying Googling for a bike night or something similar. When I tried for Philly I found this:

The Philadelphia Motorcycle Riders Group

Looks for a local hooters bound to have a bike night once a week. Just saying. Alot of people around where I live own GSXRs and they always seem to think im riding a 600rr. Guess 954rr on the tail is to obvious to see. but w/e. I like riding by myself, but I have found a couple of ppl here and there I could ride with if I wanted to.

Hey I just bought a brand new CBR...my first bike. I'm down to ride when I get home from Iraq. Which will be sometime at the end of June.

Checkout pnwriders.com. There is a Seattle board, they seem to have a pretty active group.
