Default my new toy! (bicycle)

haha I finally bought a road bike, ya know the kind ya peddle lol
I've been wanting one for a long while and finally decided to go for it
its an 06 Trek SL1000, cost me about $600 with some extrastuff

the stupid thing is that for the last few weeks its been nice and warm but today when I finally bought the bike it turned cold and started raining lol

I had never ridden a real road bike before and its definitely a long way from the K-Mart specials I grew up on so its gonna take some getting used to but so far its an awesome ride and a lot of fun
this thing doesn't seem to weigh anything and it shifts perfectly, the skinny tires threw me off for a little bit

so anybody else do this cycling thing?

oh an here is a pic:

Cycling is huge up here near Seattle. All the guys I work with are junkies, come to work in thier gay spandex and all. They have a team and do frequent races and stuff, but they get pretty serious, I'm talkin 4-6K bikes that weigh less than a damn phone book. I tried riding one of the guys bikes but never been on anything like that, the ergos were all f'd up. To me anyway. I have a decent raliegh that I use for varmint hunting, allot of the logging roads up here are for use, but they block them off so guys don't get out there on the 4 wheelers and dirt-bikes and tear the place up, so I use a rifle-pack and my bike so I can cover a much greater area than walking.

I'd like to consider myself a hardcore mtn biker but the only thing road bikers have to do with mtn bikers is that they are the butt of all our jokes. Good buy but I seriously hate road bikes. If you run overa rock you get thown off the bike.If youtry to gooff afriggen curb you get thrown off the bike. If you hit an 8 ft drop you get thrown off the bike.
