We are all bombarded to death with this as the leading sports headline for how long now? I listen to ESPN radio all day between sales calls, and what I am hearing as justification or excuses for the dog fighting is...it isn't any worse than hunting. In fact, one guy, last night, said the reasonhunting is okay isbecause rich white lobbyist for the NRA make it okay to hunt, and that is the reason dog fighting isn't okay...not enough rich white lobbyists, I guess. I am alsohearing about this being a race issue. I think that is bull****! There are enough legitimate race issues that potentially lose credibility because of something like this. It's like the boy that cried wolf. There is no excuse, forany persontototureanimals. The man financed a big dog fighting ring, wagered on animals killing eachother, and hung, drowned, and electrocuted dogs that did not perform. That is not like hunting at all, and it has nothing to do with race!!!

They're dumb sh**s. Most of the population dont have deer, or bear for pets (I dont hunt, so I am not justifying myself here), and most off all, we don't sell dog at Wal-Mart or your local butcher. This crap is getting out of hand. He is an ignorant idiot who put himself in a prediciment were his reputation is ruined. He is the one spending thousands of dollars on killing animals for pleasure and money because he is a selfish basta**. I hate people like him and I hope he gets what he deserves. I think we should put him in a cage with Chuck Lidell and let Lidell beat the sh** out of him.

i am big in the whole animal law thing (did a bunch in school) and vick has just shown how much of a scumbag he is...i won't get much into this because i could write a damn article about it...but i will say this...

(1) ANYONE willing to defend him is an idiot...point blank...sorry if you think otherwise but you are a moron....(2) to think this is a race issue is stupid....had this been another race, i would feel the same way and people trying to make race an issue have other issues other than dog fighting and are trying to "grab onto this" for publicity reasons....VICK IS NOT A VICTIM IN ANY WAY...(refer to statement (1))....(3) people trying to analogize this to hunting is also an IDIOT....this isn't about hunting wild animals, (hopefully using them for food), but rather behavior modification of animals to battle in a bloody sport....it's disgusting...

i say let the bastard rot in hell....and take all his money to fund a campaign against dog fighting...

There's a huge difference between hunting and dog-fighting. If hunting were not done in some areas it would literally be overrun with those animals, like deer for example. Here in IN if deer hunters don't get the quota it shows up in the auto accident column, which costs lots of money and possibly lives. I'm not defending hunting and I don't do it, but I do see the need for it.

I never really cared for Vick even before his fan flipoff event, now this just reconfirms it. I hope he goes to jail for a long time and never plays pro football again.

 

dog fighting is nothing like hunting. i am an avid hunter and rely on wild animals for food. as a hunter i go for a quick clean kill so the animal does not suffer. also living in michigan we would be over run with deer and turkeys if we did not hunt them not only that but they would starve to death or get eaten by other animals, wich would be a much worse way to go. to watch any animals try to kill each other for sport is just sick and wrong its inhumane and should be punished severly.

 

dogs are domestic animals, where as deer, bear, and other tasty wildlife is not. You can go to jail for beating your dog, just like your kids. I believe he should rot in jail for the rest of his life with no bail, and his money be donated to the animal shelters.

The dogs involved in dog fighting have to be put down because their owners trained them to be so vicious they can never be domesticated. This is cruel to train the dogs like that, it never gives them a chance to be "mans best friend."

 

I hunt, and I was raised to eat what I kill. dog fighting is a whole other thing, and he deserves to hang for it.

KB how can you make a comment "race does have something to do with it" and then just let it go without an explanation ... how do you associate animal cruelty to "its a race related situation"
