omg omgomgogmog ask me ask me I am an asian kid who likes video games. I love computers and ****.
you want to buy a desktop right?
http://www.tigerdirect.com/
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/
newegg.com if you want to make one
making is the best way to go but cyberpowerpc and tigerdirect allows you to "customize" what you want and for pretty cheap. good deals.
how much you willing to spend? you should get a gaming laptop! you can haul it around the house and play and watch anywhere.
I can hook my laptop up to my 52 inch led tv and play games or watch netflix movies, etc.

Probably have around a $2,000 budget.
I'm not sure i'm up to building a computer myself. I might see if my friend will build me another, but he's not in the area anymore.
I used to have a gaming laptop, I don't mind laptops if they're large enough, full keyboards etc.
Not sure how much bang for the buck I could get the laptop route.

2 grand? Hell, man, that should be plenty of cash as long as you don't get an apple.
That's more than I paid for all 3 of my machines combined... lol. (I'm so cheap... )
My regular laptop was $600 new like 2yrs ago. It's just a simple 2ghz duo/4.0gb ram/320g hd. It has a cool backlit keyboard (highly recommend this, btw), memory card slots (love these, too), dvdrw, built-in webcam, all the ports (w/HD out), etc.
It does what I need, but I'm not a pc gamer at all.

To be honest there is nothing this baby cannot do. Every fking game out there this machine will **** on. Crysis? Turn it all the way to Ultra. It has effing 8GB of DDR3-1066 RAM. DDR ram is different from the **** most people run (standard now in most gaming laptops).
The Quad core, i7 processor, and the 8gb DDR ram will allow you play 5 games at once (no more CPU bottlenecking). Or you can watch a movie, play a game, surf cbrforum, video chat with your girl, watch ****....all at the same damn time.
And importantly you will have the backing and warranty of Asus, a legit company that will take care of your baby.
If your going to get such a sweet computer make it a laptop and not a desk. The mobility of the laptop in today's wifi crazen world is such a pleasure. Hook this baby up to any TV (has all the ports: HDMI, VGA, etc). Surf cbrforum in the living room, in your bedroom, in your bathroom, I dont ****ing care. You will be happy.
Oh, and it has 500 gb of HD for your music, videos, pictures, etc. Best bang for your buck hands down. If you don't like it return it
A desktop with all the goodies this laptop has will run you around $1,200. Less if you can make it.

I spent $1100 on the PC I built in February...I did have a copy of Windows 7 Pro i got for $29 from my sisters school, and I already had a Radeon HD4800 video card, and had a case. Heres what I have:
ASUS Sabertooth P55 ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i7 860
1.5 TB HD
650W power supply
8GB RAM
23" LG Monitor
Also got a decent mouse/kb
Its a beast of a PC, the i7 processor is amazing.

The Asus G37 is a popular and top selling gaming laptop, it will last you a long time. It can run any game now on the market at the highest setting. So yeah it will last you a long *** time.
It doesn't run the game on low, medium, or high. It runs it on Ultra.
So in a year or so there might be a game that will not allow you to run in Ultra reliably. But you will run in high for sure.
