both great sites! I also like geeks.com, but use newegg and tigerdirect the most.

What kind of desktop do you have? It may not be worth upgrading...I built a new PC back in February.

My language wasn't too accurate. By upgrade I meant buying a new computer
My old college buddy built my computer for me probably 5 years ago

I bought a sony lcd TV with a bluray from tigerdirect for like $900 shipped. The same TV with no blu-ray was $1500 at every store I checked at the time. Exact same model.
Also check out compUSA. They own tiger and will give you their store blowout deals if you call them. Shipped for free, too.

Yeah, I don't think I could handle an Ipad for so many reasons. I gotta have an actual computer. 3 laptops in my house.

yeah you could, they are neat in their own way, very wicked cool. They are
however not a direct laptop/notebook replacement .....more of a connected
media device as opposed to an actual computer.

My advice ...... a notebook PC with sh!tload of memory quad processor
big drive(s) a Bluray player and 1080p with HDMI output

Sony's are good

Kinda done with home desktops myself ...... to big and cumbersome
