Back on topic. Good job on not low / high siding. But seriously, your 500lbs vs their 2.5k+ lbs. You coulda lost big if he decided not to use the brake.
On the confrontation thing I give people this advice: unless you're prepared to go ALL the way (aka prepared to kill), it's best to live and let live. Cause they may force you to go all the way just to survive.

No kidding. I was building houses in Alief for General Homes in about 1980. The subdivisions were called Beckford whatever. Synott and Bissonnet. Remember?
I would have been the guy in the white General Homes Customer Service Van whose job it was to tell everyone that had a warranty issue that it wasn't covered. I didn't last very long in the corporate world.
