Letting off steam!! (pics pg2,3,4)
The Damage: This bike DIDN'T go down. He managed to ride it out safely. This is from the impact. Buddy took it well. He was just worried that he'd be left with the bill and getting a ticket. But I took responsibility of course, took the ticket, and made a claim before we even got home. We both were just glad everybody was ok.

It really could have been worse, even with all the bad luck, you guys still got lucky. But this is why I hate riding with other people, it is impossible to be in their heads and know what they see or how they will react toa situation.
holy crap he was able to keep that thing up! that is awsome haha you hit him hard enough to ben that pipe like that but he managed to recover, good stuff. as for your bike... for no having frame sliders it doesnt look too bad, if you had sliders you prob wouldnt be replaceing that headlight.

Glad your ok Crash.
But I believe your riding buddy has some blame also, if your riding with someone and your the lead, that person is responsible to make sure there is enough time for you both to pass and not put you in danger (cause the 2nd rider will most likely follow). It was an accident and not intended but he should of checked the rear view before letting off the throttle.
My wife was behind me in her jeep and I was screwing around and throttled up for a second and let right off it without braking and she damn near ran me over. These bikes accelerate very quickly and slow down the same.
