Same with bringing up your Grandfather, doesn't matter if its true or not it sounds like a childish maneuver talking about how your grandpa will pull some strings for you. To be honest, your letter as a whole sounds off. You mix "legal terms" with much works like "bike" rather than motorcycle, which is going to make it seem like your just throwing "big" words in more conversational/casual wording. I would suggest starting from scratch and sit down for a WHILE and come up with a more concise and less threatening. Threats would be great if you knew you were talking with someone who was in any postion to be scared of you. Most likely the person reading the letter has no real personal stake in whether or not you get your money. On the same note, your taking their slow progress as a personal attack which it isn't; incopetence maybe. You have a right to be a little impatient by now but it hasn't been long enough to be that angry/vindictive.
imo you need to treat this like a business situation because thats what it is to them
I believe, if you treat it with a bit more professionalism and lay off the threats and dropping names they will be just as responsive without being pissed off and/or thinking of you as a joke
from their point of view, being overly descriptive with your connections and legal representation is just bluffing most of the time. Insurance companies deal with so many people that say they have the best law team in the world on speed dial and know every politician/judge/law enforcement personnnel in the state by first name, etc... that they rarely take threats like that seriously
A simple "Address the situation or we will proceed with appropriate legal action" is plenty

2. Upon reading your post, the first 3-4 sentences sounded like more of the same. I almost got pissed again.
But, reading the whole thing I realize you are correct.
3. I'll tone my letter down, clean up the bike/motorcycle references, and if this still does not get a response, I'll just let Mike my boss and Hynman start talking to them.

Hynman will get more done with a formal letter I know for a fact.

This got me thinking...god I think about work too much...
Anyway, just an aside.
Funny, even though Mike, the boss/entreprenuer who owns the majority 51% of the bank and company I work for, (just one
of his businesses...he has teams of people always figuring out loopholes or ways to make a buck.)
Duty wise, we essentially do the same thing....least in Southlake.
We call up some of our merchants who have questionable and sometimes outright nefarious charges going through their
CC and debit machines at their businesses.
People in New York do some assessing, call Mike, Mike talks to the bigger, more complicated accounts and businesses and goings on.
I go after the smaller, but repeat offender types.
Monday mornings, he calls me in his office, hands me the stack of reports he wants me to work,
and I get on the phone and find out wtf is going on with this account and that, talking to owners, CFO's, acounting people,
and sometimes just mom and pop types.
It can get pretty nasty...which I love in a way, though I will say it has made me a more hostile person over the last 2+ years.

I don't know - you seem desperate by the constant name-dropping.
Also, if someone is an attorney, there is no need to, "hide" their first or last name... especially hiding the first when you're giving us the last.

My grandfather, who was the county auditor for over 30 years knows every judge in this county. Some mnore than others.
Court case comes up, and the judge is known.
Phone calls are made on my behalf.
