LCD or DLP
Ok got a bigger house now and need to up grade from my sharp aquois 32" i have been looking at eithier DLP or another LCD just wondering what you guys think about them. I am happy with my lcd so unless some one can say somthing good about dlp i will stay with that. Thanks for the advice

DLP, are quite a bit cheaper if you are going for a 50"+ plus model. The only issue is you have to replace a bulb after I think it's about every 2500 viewing hours. On the flip side though people say it is worth it because LCD and PLasma wont last as long.

The actual LCD part of a monitor will last a life time. Its usually a resistor or a circuit board that goes out. Heat is such a killer.

I just bought this Samsung LNT5271F from Amazon a couple months ago. I love it. It's last years middle model (61, 71 and 81 Series for 2007). It has a brighter screen than the 61 series and has an incredible picture. If you order from Amazon and the price drops on Amazon within 30 days, just email them and they'll reimburse the difference.

I bought it at $2,299 back in April (but got a free upconverting DVD player, too). Since the 2008 models came out this one's price dropped to $1899.98. Back in January it was listed for $2,499. Plus they provide free in-house shipping.
