Laughlin River Run (sucked!)
I heard on the radio about the "Laughlin River Run" in Laughlin, NV but I had no idea.
Last week my wife and I decided to attend the event. No hotel reservation or anything like that. We removed the seats in our minivan and were ready to sleep there. My wife followed me in the minivan and half way there we realized that we would not be able to sleep in the van because the heat was a b...tch!
On arrival to Laughlin, 100's of Harleys all over the place and no street bikes at all! I felt like showing up to the wrong party!
Any ways as I rode into the main Blvd in Laughlin I saw this 4 bikes: CBR RR, YZR, Ninja ZXR and 1 more I can't remember, it was like finding back up! They rode in the opposite direction but greeted me.
I looked for them all the weekend but they kept riding in the opposite direction and cops were all over the place so no U turns or quick moves allowed (California Highway Patrol, Arizona Highway Patrol and Nevada Highway Patrol get together to crack down on irresponsible riding) - The following day I found another group of street bikes (3) I followed them and when they saw me they ignored me! **** man all I wanted was some attention L I needed to feel like I belonged somewhere!
Well after that incident I decided to ride on my own and forget about everyone else. Didn’t like the event. Won’t go unless I ride a chopper like motorcycle.
Anyone here attended?
