i wouldnt plead guilty if this is your first traffic violation. get a lawyer and have them plea bargin it for you other wise your insurance on your bike and car are more likly to go up. to be honest it shouldnt be a hard thing to plea bargin either its not like you did something supper wreckless.

nice bike by the way

hearing everyone always talk about lawyers for traffic violations always confuses the hell out of me. here in cali i go before the judge and then if i want i can talk with a DA and them and me work out a deal. the idea of hiring a lawyer for somthing as simple as traffic violation is weird .. not judging just find it weird.

No, it's not my first offense. But, the idea of hiring a lawyer over a $60 fee and the cost of going to traffic school doesn't make sense to me. It costs at least $69 to hire the lawyer here. Now, 3 years ago when I got pulled over for streetracing, yeah, shoulda hired a lawyer.

Oh well. Thanks for the info though guys

means the judge will decide what the fines gonna be...those are treated as criminal offense in Washington state(pretty serious)...
show up to the court dressed up and behave maturely like you did with the cops...more likely you'll walk away with small fines...

No, it has a check next to the "Does not require appearance in court" box.

So, I just gotta call the Clerk of the Court or someone at the courthouse to find out for sure if it's $60.

I'll let ya'll know.

I do know the cop said that if I had moved anymore than the one car I passed, he'da taken me in on the Criminal count of wreckless driving.

Just a heads up to everyone else!

Sounds like the cop was just being a douche bag like 75% of them and 100% of them around where I live. You should have just told him that other guy was your riding buddy and you didn't know where you were going and you didn't want to get lost so you needed to stay up with him.

Not quick on my toes to think of that. But, any story wouldn't have gotten me off from this guy when he first got out of his car. I honostly didn't even know why I was being pulled over.

Jeeper, I commend you for how you dealt with the cops. I would have been easy to be a dick back to them since they were gunnin' for you at the start. Too bad they gave you a ticket, but if you had smarted off, I'll bet it would have been worse. Anyway...no more lane splitting, eh?
