Default Killed a BABY rabbit :S

Just got home from a relaxing 6 hours at the beach just me and my baby, and on our way back (theres about 2 km of bad road there) We were only rideing 30 km per h max and We were just having a disgussion about nasty small rocks and beeing flexible and carefully keeping on very side of the road cause it is very cornered and youngsters like to rally their cars in evening cause there arent many people going there. And Suddenly I saw a baby rabbit jumping to my front wheel... as my natural reflexes I pressed the clutch down and have gas.. wanted to brake... I only heard the rowing sound of my bike and stoped few meters ahead thinking Shhhhh shhhh*** S*T Crap and all possible curses coming out from me when I saw the pour thing twitching on ground like crazy.. I got off the bike turned it off and walked a bit back and looked it shocked twitching... I Just standed there, and looked tried to figure out how I should act.. by the time I got something to my head he had died...
So I tossed it to forest...

He/She was Soooooo smallll....

This is a new experiance for me tough :/

I ate a rabbit once. Sucked the eye ball right out, but that was for the military.

I'm gonna report you to PETA. hahaha. Good thing you didn't crash. CJardine, somehow, I don't think I wanna know the detail about your rabbit experience.

I ran over a porcupine today. It was already dead but I didn't see it until the last second because of the line of cars in front of me and there was no avoiding it at that point. I was pretty worried about blowing a tire but all was fine. On a side note I almost rear ended a car last night at like 12:30 am cause there was a deer in the road and they booked off then the baby panicked and ran back so the guy in front of my slammed his breaks. Abs let him stop super fast. My back tire locked and I stopped about a foot from him. Damn wildlife lol.

It happens. My rule of thumb, if it's small enough to fit in a frying pan, DO NOT try to
avoid it. You could very well lose control of the bike and injure/kill your self.
Yes, it's sad to kill/injure a bunny/squirrel/cat, etc., but face it, your life is more important.

If it's a much bigger-type critter then it's appropriate to try to avoid it.
Dogs, deer and cattle come to mind.

I will add, if you do critically injure an animal, IMO, it is your responsibility to end it's suffering.
I'll emphasize...if you can safely do so. Yeah, this part sucks! But, I personally,
would feel worse, knowing I let it lie there, for however long (possibly hours/days),
till it succumbed to it's injurys and/or predation.
