i have a carbed bike with no issues...you guys make it seem like they are bad. didnt yamaha run carbs till 04?
if you pipe it you have to jet it, and you cant just power command it lol
after a long time it might need a carb sync/cleaning.
throttle response is not quite as good as with the FI bikes
if it's a track bike make sure you do a little extra when checking it out,

dont do it. i feel like your down-grading.
the cons of carbs:
lower fuel efficiency compared to fi.
Susceptible to flooding.
Can be a pain in the *** to start in the cold.
Have fun cleaning.
Vulnerable to hydraulic lock.
Harder to tune than fi.
Gravity feed fuel system.
From my experiences with the CBR F3.

Couldn't agree more. Do not do it. You would get getting a older bike with older technology. Its not that carbs are awful but they are a lot more work than FI with cleaning them and syncing them not to mention manual choking when the bike is cold. If carbs were better they would be on all production vehicles instead of FI. I went from a 01 F4i to a 07 600RR and let me tell you it is a world of difference. I couldn't be happier, everything is smoother, the powerband, the throttle response, the ride, the clutch feel, the brake feel. Stick with newer tech man you will not regret it.

yeah not to beat a dead horse, but Carbs are like a Chariot racing a Mustang (the sportcar variety)....
Technically both have Horsepower - but its just way different technology.
Not that they're slow, but its just more trouble than its worth. Keep shopping around for something FI. Just my humble (and always correct) opinion.
