The Joe Rocket jacket he's showing is the textile one... they also have the same in leather.

I started out with a black Joe Rocket mesh jacket with the armor in the right places. I learned quick though that it was a one time use jacket at most and when riding at temps below 65 it got pretty chilly quick. I got a super deal on a Power Trip leather jacket (Santa Cruz) and wore that most of the late summer and fall. It has vent zippers and keeps me cool enough while riding. When I stop it feels hot as hell, but I'll be protected. I just bought another Power Trip leather jacket over the weekend (Vintage) and suspect that I'll just switch between the two when riding this year. I didn't pay more than $90 for either one ($300+ at the store) and they should last me a good long while.

If anyone wants a Joe Rocket mesh jacket with all the protection still in it, I have a 2xl I'd get rid of for $45 shipped. One year old and the only noticeable wear is because the velcro on my gloves kept latching on and making the part by the zipper fuzzy.
