It's good to be cable guy...
SO I'm installing a digital phone and broadband internet in a customers home and hear someone in the yard fire up a dirtbike.
I finish up and make small talk while signing paperwork about having been sort of looking for a dirtbike.
He tells me he's got a couple for sale for $200 a piece. I take a look. I end up buying a 1987 Kawasaki KLX250 for $150. The threads on the kickstarter were stripped off. Runs like a champ. Even did a second gear whoolie. He's also got a 1975 Honda 175 that he's not sure about the make. It's an enduro so I'm wondering if anyone here knows anything about them?
It's like a CR175M or MT175 or something? He wanted $200 for it, got him down to $100, but I'm not sure about getting it because parts are gonna be a beotch to find, I'm sure. I might still ****** it up though (Honda love).
Then I'm leaving and he's got a 1993 Honda Prelude with no shortblock and two top-ends for $600. Clean title and immaculate interior with one small ding in the front right fender. Trying to convince the girlie that it's a sweet deal and for a total investment of about $1200 it'd be a sweet ride (of course I get to do all the work).
I'll get some pics of the ol' bike today when I get off, thanks for listening - had to share my good fortune!

Good deal, but I feel like I've been ridden hard and put to bed wet. I thought this was going to be similar to "it's good to be the pool man" thread. Like there's some hot older woman in black lingerie and knee-high black boots that offers you a glass of milk after you finish installing her cable jack.
