Default Insurance for my bike?

Well I called a lot of places today for.insurance.
And seems like I'm screwed.
I have a bad driving record so they say they can't cover me.
I called local agencies and they can cover me for a whole year
But they want 2500 up front.

Before I.got the bike I called geico and they did a exact cost
With the record I have and said 210 a month. I was ok with that.
Now I called them back but they said since my license got suspended, the
Only way to get covered is if I add my car to the policy but they want
450 a month. I can't afford that. And the reason of the bike was to not use.the car
And not have to insure it and leave it in the garage.

Also asked how much less it would be if I took the saftey course
And got my motorcycle I.d and it just lowers it by 30$.

I have no idea what to do...

I would appreciate it so much if any of you members know
Of and insurance that is cheap for people with bad driving records.

Many riders have State Farm because of their very low rates. I don't know what they'd say about your driving record but it doesn't cost anything to give them a call and find out.

Hmm...tell Geico that you had to sell the car for financial reasons and the only motor vehicle that you now have is the bike until next winter. Can't add a car to your bike insurance if you don't have one, right?

You said that Dairyland won't insure you unless you've been riding for at least two years. If you've had your motorcycle endorsement for at least that long just say your other bikes were off-road and you never insured them.

Lastly, can the bike be titled in a relative's name where they could get it insured? This would have to be someone who has a motorcycle license and the insurance would cover an occasional other operator besides them.

Well i hate to tell you this but if your finacing, and required to have full coverage.. AND your driving record sucks then youll be paying crazy amounts, no way around it. Trust me i was in the same situation with my first bike. 240$ a month is what i was paying. Some companies wouldnt even insure me because of my record. All cause i had to be fully covered because of the loan. Although thats history because that bike was stolen... I cashed out on my cbr i have now and pay 180 a year for liability.

Well I guess, 240 a month for something you'd hopefully never need is expensive in my book. When I had my previous bike it was 180$ a month for the actual bike payments so basically I was paying more for insurance for the bike than I was for the bike itself.

Thats why this time I said **** a loan this and just cashed out. My driving record is horrible and Im not giving any insurance companies thousands a year.
