The clip chains work just fine as well as the rivet ones. You just need to make sure you check them alot. Everytime I rode I would check the slack and give it a quick looking over a bit before taking off down the road.
As for the -1 +2 sprockets. I rode with that for years and my gas mileage was almost the exact same as it was before I switched. As you should know your speedo will be off a bit but not by much until you are running around 70 and actually doing about 65.
As for the chain, I use DID alot but there are a bunch of others that work just fine.

Instead, i thought i'd wait it out a couple of miles. Turns out it was a bad idea. Lol.
Yea i just replaced my chain this past weekend, i got the RK/Vortex 520 conversion with -1 in the front, it came with a clip master link which i dont like so this upcoming weekend im gonna go pick up a rivet master link
