I Took Her Out Today!
Rode with a passenger (one of my sister's friends) all day long once, only to find the seat fall off in my hands as I was putting her away for the day, (the bike, not the girl), I thought sh*t what if she fell off the back?! Kinda freaked me out, I always check that now before I ride, just in case...
yea i didnt red line it until my last day riding last fall
i had hit some high speeds, higher than anyone SHOULD go, as im sure we all have, but i was making the 2 hour trip back to my hometown to put the bike up for winter and i got on this smaller wide open highway
no roads, all the corn had been cut, so i could see as far as my eyes would let me
no cops, no cars, no cross streets, nothing so i opened it up and got to about 10k, then went back down to about 100mph... thought about it for a second and decided i would just go all the way
i got to like 500 rpms before red line
ill prob never go that fast again but at least i did it once and can still talk about it, lol

Glad to here you boys are starting to thaw out up there.
Yeah, tacking it out under WOT is definitely fun, wicked power in 1st and 2nd, so much so in 1st that from 10k to red line goes by almost before you can think to shift.

Still really sporadic weather here in Wisconsin. We had a couple good days last week where I was able to take the bike out. Got it dirty as HELL, though. A good bath fixed that.
I'm actually kinda hoping for a few weeks of crappy weather, as it gives me an excuse to do the maintenance and mods I want to do, instead of ignoring it because I want to ride instead.
