Let me tell you, that thing is no BS. I went with my buddy to check out the 08 600s, as he is looking into one after taking mine for a spin. They had three new 08 1000RRs on the floor, free for the touching. The yellow was ugly, the black and silver was real nice, but the maroon and silver was just sex on two wheels. Visually anyways. I sat on one, and let me tell you it felt like my 07 600... It would barley stand itself up center, it pretty much fell into a lean dead still. I cant imagine what it would be like rolling. Definitely not a bike meant for a big guy, as it reminds me of a ducati in how narrow and streamline it is.

Its got to be one hell of a beast, I was trying to figure out if I could pick one up, but I think its going to be a while. I was also watching the races on this past sunday, They were showing the yosh race edition or whatever, and with the after market slip on and a cleaned up tail section is looks so good.

Go sit on one if you can, you will not be disappointed.

 

Did the very same thing like two weeks ago...and yeah your spot on vertical....it's BAD A$$. Well...it's gonna be my next street bike. I'm gonna turn RED into an all track bike and buy a 2009 1 thou. The guy at the dealership thought I was just blowing smoke up his keester...well...whatever dude...I can buy it from you or somebody else. Would love to "test drive" the thing though. Do dealers even do that anymore?

I know the one where I bought my bike from does test rides. Thats why Im trying to stay away as much as I can from the dealership. If I test ride one Ill get myself into trouble. By buying one!

 

I don't think im my lifetime that I will be able to handle a 1k. Maybe after 25 track days..but I still would be timid of those machines on the streets.

 

lol i love this bike at first i didnt liek it and it wa sjust like my rsx ya didnt like it and bam i got one, its taunts me everyday i pass the fuggin stealership and shes out there the yellow/blk one o god i want her so bad. 1 day ima just walk into there buy one come home and my wifes gonna be like wtf, then sleeping on the couch for bout a month but the question is, is it worth it? haha who knows, ima go in there and test drive one someday but ima keep telling myself im happy right now with my 600 but hell the weather is gettign nice and i wanna turn my 600 into a full teack bike then what do i do, i need a daily driver and well since the 1000 is out who knows.

 

We do runs on them for serious buyers here in Mobile. We have at least...

I sat on them last week and they are freakin nice...aside from a slightly wider seat and tank- its a 600!

Think I will stick with mine tho...

 

Never seen a test ride here in NY red. I saw your other posts about turning RED into a track bike and then going wild on a 1000 for the street. I want to see the end result of that, as im sure it will be nothing shy of ridiculous and beautiful.
