Could have gotten more money if I sold privately. But its worth taking the hit when you trade. All private sales, the onus is on the buyer. Paying money for a bike is accepting that their happy at getting what they pay for. Guy could have been an idiot & thrashed the crap out of it on the 48 hours that he had it (& been ridden by dozens of his friends).
Warranty wasn't part of the initial deal, but the fact that you offered to make good after he rode off, shows good intent. Guy is a dick, don't waste anymore time even thinking about.

It has been about a week since I last heard anything from him. After I gave him the name and number of my lawyer (who is actually a personal friend also) and after he accused me of lying about having one, I haven't heard from him which is great because it was really stressing me out. I have a feeling that he was trying to scam me, so I'm hoping I won't be getting any more texts or calls. Thanks for following up and if anything more happens I will definitely keep updating!
