i never go out without my lid. only maybe to take a spin around the parking lot after working on it. hell, i bought a jacket and helmet 4 months before i got my bike. i have a blue and white helmet with the joe rocket GSXR jacket(i was going to get a gsxr) i still dont give a damn, they might laugh, but i will still have skin on my body.

my brother died in a bicycle accident 9 years ago. he was broadsided by a truck and if he had been wearing a helmet, he would have lived. WEAR YOUR HELMETS AND BE CAREFUL. the moto gods are with us, but sometimes they fall asleep.

And I love the guys who say "you know, you're chances of being hurt in an accident go up because of that helmet you're wearing, it'll break your neck" Yeah, and a police officer's chance of being hurt when getting shot goes up because of that kevlar vest they're wearing.
I've heard the neck injury thing before, I thought it was bullcrap then and I still do but even if its true, consider the consequences of a spinal injury versus a brain injury. Would you rather live in a wheelchair or as a vegetable, or more likely die because your skull gets smashed?

I'm sorry, but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

This one's my personal favorite:

"13. it's a pain in the *** to clean the bugs off. "

Uh huh, it's MUCH easier picking the bugs out between your teeth than wiping them off a face shield!

How can you possibly ride the freeway/highway or what ever you guys call it over there without a helmet. Here in England we call it the motor way. I wear ear plugs in addition to my helmet to protect my ears. If I dont my ears are ringing and I feel like I been in a club with a bad sound system, and no its not a cheapo helmet its an Arai RX7. It is compulsory for us to wear helmets here in the UK. But I always wear a helmet, Boots, armour jacket leather or textile and a back protector, might not always be your fault.
