hey, i've always heard myrtle beach bike week was awsome. I am stationed about 1.5 hours away, but i heard around base that there are two weeks. one for us, and one for cruisers.?..? Anybody with any info???

 

Whats up! True, Memorial Day Weekend is for us. Its sick out there. I went last year, good time. Lots to see and do.

 

so are there two different weeks??? Memorial day is one of the few holidays i get off. Didn't get christmas, thanks giving, new years, my one year anniversary...but i get memorial day and 4th of july...and my birthday..lol

 

It is definetley a good time..i have been down four times since I live in wilmington NC less then an hour away and I was stationed at Ft. Bragg for quite a few years so I have had some good times at bike week but it is extremely crowded, but it is alot of bikes and a good ol time though.

 

Memorial Day weekend is called Black Bike Week. My parents live there and Ive gone several times, but if you're not a "brotha" I'd skip this one. You will feel way out of your element. If you talk to some of the locals they will tell you that nobody comes out during that week. If you go you will totally understand.

 

you know...i heard that. I ride with some of my black military friends, and they said that I should probably steer clear during memorial day weekend. LOL. With all the political correctness in the military, and me not knowing those guys as well as others, they may not have wanted to say flat out that I'd be one of three white guys and it may not be the best place to hang out.
