Your man of true character of course I knew that before you posted this. I guess most of us have been in this situation at least once or twice and agree with you 100% on your course of action. Just hope your friend is receptive to your suggestion. Most that I have encountered on this issue hadn't been. Good luck man

I commend your efforts but it seems like he has a bigger problem that he needs to rectify before he kills himself or someone else... I am all for the whole friends don't let friends drive drunk but I don't know what I would say to him about the times that you couldn't be there for him because obviously you can't always be there... I don't know that's a tough thing to deal with but you definately handled your end of the problem well... good friend.
