It was actually an even trade. No cash involved. I wanted a bike for the track. I can rail the R1 on the back roads, but I feel like on the track I will be better off with a 600 at least starting out.

I will eventually go back to a Yamaha. I want an 09+ R1 for the street.

would you rather have a civic with 64k or 100k? i tihnk its a easy choice that as long as they were up on maintenance a lower mile ride is better. just saying... you can find a bike with 12k miles on it for the same price most likely.

Oh I'm not saying find a bike with low miles, just not turn your nose up at one with some real miles on it, means it was rode n not just stared at is all lol

I've ridden a buddy's wife's 09 gsxr600 recently as well as my fiancee's 09 600rr, it's a totally different feel. The gixxer felt slightly tame when ridden side by side with the rr, the rr just seems to launch so much more willingly and feels more agile. Though the slew of recent mods we've thrown at her phoenix might be making it a unfair contest vs his wife's mostly stock gixxah. Though both we're awesome bikes and I'd gladly own and ride either of them. As for aesthetics, rr hands down, not a fan of the uni-light and built in blinkers on the gsxr.
