How To Keep Your Bike From Being Stolen
as for lojack, I'd just like to bring this to everyones attention that may not already know this but, LoJack is only good if you can try and track the individual right away. Like right after the bike has been stolen. Any criminal with 1/2 a brain will know that LoJack does not function when insulated by being surrounded by alluminum. For instance most car shops have enough alluminum to scramble a LoJack signal. Basically if the thives took the bike immediately to a storage shed to chop the bike for parts, you'd never find it. Just something to consider when thinking of spending that extra $
Thanks for all of the advice, I do keep it inside my garage at all times, but I was just saying when I go out and leave it parked somewhere, like restaurant, beach, mall, stores, etc... Are there any locks that you guys have/use? Lojack is def too much money for me.
i would say put on as much protection as you can afford. for the most part people will scope your bike out, then take it later on, so like if they know where you live. but you can get a chain, disc lock, and lever lock. the more they have to do, the less likely it is to be stolen.
just take the wheels off when you stop. lol jk but keep it in eyes view at all times if your paranoid. Otherwise attach a fighting bred pit bull to the swingarm.

The best option is a garage. Bikes get swiped out in apartment parking lots like noone business.

Bigtime. Buddy had his ride parked next to the front door of his apartment and it got swiped, next night our other buddies brand new R1 got stolen. Got the R1 back 3 nights later, theif got pulled over, for speeding, ran the plates, they were oklahoma plates but this was in Texas, so didn't match out, arrested the guy when the VIN I guess pulled up a stolen bike. The bike was poorly spray-painted black (from a maroon red) and the wiring was all cut up. Insurance didn't total it but the guy didn't want it anymore cause it was so screwed up, but I think he worked out something with the ins co.
The solution, just have an old looking beat up bike, one thats been dropped and laid down a couple times, and shows it, thieves typically go for nice looking stuff before ugly beatup machines.
