Damn Jared! Where do you go that you rack up that many miles on both your cage and your bike?? You must be running up and down the east coast on a regular basis![sm=gears.gif]
LOL well from 2000-2004 (before I had the bike), I drove the car everywhere kinda like I do the bike now. The car sits at home for most of the week now and doesn't get many miles. I lived up in Illinois until the end of '02, and I would go on roadtrips in the car to Ohio and Missouri every so often, then up to Chicago to see my mom quite a bit (3 hr each way). Made 2 trips from south Florida up to Chicago and back, and LOTS of trips to Orlando. Summer of '04 between school everyday, going to Orlando all the time, and whatever else I was putting about 5000 mi/month on it. I got it in July 2000 with 253k on it. Before that, my mom had it from May 1997-March 2000. She bought it May 1997 with 140k from the orig owner, and used it for her 140 mile/day commute, plus wherever on the weekends. We lived in a little farmtown out in the middle of nowhere, so it was a trip to go anywhere (closest wal mart was about 30 miles). Lots of trips down to central IL to visit my sister at college (3 hr each way), my sister took it from northern Illinois up to Minnesota in '98, I drove it from northern Illinois out to Colorado in '99 (drove it to the top of Pikes Peak... 14,100 ft up. Yea it's COLD and windy up there at the end of dec, lol). Also a few trips to Cleveland, Ohio to my grandmas house (8 hr each way). That car has been everywhere!!! LOL Been to 14 states so far, from Minnesota to Key West, FL, and Ohio to Colorado and everywhere in between. Been one HELL of a great car! Has never once broken down or left me or anyone stranded.....ever [sm=signs007.gif][sm=smiley20.gif] I've only put about 15-20k on the car though in the past 3 years, since I've had the bike [&:]. Ahhh the memories.... this is the car I learned to drive a manual on back when I was 15 and had my permit (I'm gonna be 26 in 2 weeks).... my mom used to take me over to the big parking lot at her work and I'd drive around and practice starting on the hills, lol. She's old, has big rust holes in the rear 1/4 panels, and the clearcoat is peeling pretty bad on the roof... but I still love her anyways

The bike.... well I've posted quite a few of my roadtrip pics on here so you can see where alot of those come from. Daily commuting (90 mi/day for awile... now it's about 65/day), lots of joy riding locally, usually group rides every sun morning, locally to bike nights during the week, and roadtrips on the weekends. It's been to 12 states so far, from Chicago, IL to the Florida Keys and every state in between, including a few on each side too. I usually try and do one BIG roadtrip every year. Last years trip was 18 days and 5,126.3 miles, this years was 10 days and almost exactly 3,000 miles. When I lived in south Florida I used to go up to central FL all the time for a weekend, either to ride with my buddies in Lakeland, or do some exploring up in the Ocala National Forest, Tampa Bay/St. Pete, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona every year for Biketoberfest. Everybody that knows me knows I'm the king of spontanious roadtrips. Example: a couple weeks ago I went out to buy an oil filter and ended up in South Carolina, and did some exploring over there. On turkey day I had nothing to do, I decided to go to Cracker Barrel to eat some of their turkey. I have one right near my house 14.5 miles away, but I went to the one in Anderson, SC instead, lol. Just the way I am

A pic of both together.... this was a couple weeks ago, when I moved from south Florida to north Georgia. 900 miles @ 80 mph towing the trailer, not a single problem! She still makes me proud [:

Haahaha...that's awesome! [sm=lol.gif] I have yet to go to AZ or Vegas for an oil filter.

Honda's and Toyota's are great! although I guess a lot of vehicles would go longer if people serviced them regularly. The toyota I had only had regular maintenance, the guy that owned it knew nothing about cars, so he'd take it to the dealer for servicing every 3k. The only thing I did to it was change the fuel pump. It started squirting fuel out the side. Lucky I didn't catch fire.

I'm curious to see if anyone has pics of odometer's over 400k or 500k. I've heard about them but never seen one. (Aside from semi trucks)

And yeah...I don't care if they're sold or no longer operable

This isn't exactly high mileage but I have an 84 Prelude with only 98 thousand miles on it. I got the car back in 1992 when I was at the know it all age of 16. MyF3 has 49 thousand and some change on it and I bought it with only 1 mile on it. The F3 and I took a cross country road trip from OR to DC a couple years ago.So far, been through 18 states and the District with the bike (OR, WA, CA, NV, AZ, NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, SC, NC,VA, MD, DE, WV, PA, and DC). Maybe I'llpass throughfew more next summer.
