Default Incorrect Odometer Reading?

If you have a different sprocket setup your speedo is off we all know that, but does that mean your odometer is off as well? And if so would it read more or less mileage, and would that affect your trip meter as well?

Default RE: Incorrect Odometer Reading?

Yes. If your speedo reads high, your odometer will read high (but they are usually not the same error). Stock bikes have an average 5.5% speedometer error but the odometer is correct; a 10% speedometer error only gets you a 5% or so odometer error.

See Speedohealers website, they talk about it.
